PFD’S (LIFE JACKETS) MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES DURING TOURNAMENT HOURS.
Weigh-in times will be listed under specific Tournament & Events tab. You must be checked in on official check-in sheet before final check-in time to qualify. SABINE vs H-TOWN SHOWDOWN weigh-in times for 2019 will be 4:00PM - 5:00PM
You may launch at any time but no lines may enter the water before 6am on the day of event.
No frozen or mutilated fish ... fish is frozen if it can’t be bent as determined by Weigh Master ... a mutilated fish if it looks beat up or eaten by crabs, altered, etc. as determined by Weigh Master.
If a fish is disqualified due to length requirements, only that fish will be DQ'd and entrant will be allowed to submit rest of their stringer. If a blatant disregard to rules is found (such as a frozen or thawed fish, fish has been stuffed for extra weight, fish has been trimmed, etc...), angler will be DQ'd from event and any future UCKA events. In a team format, this goes for the entire team!
Weigh Master retains the right to hold and inspect all fish if deemed necessary. Simply put; You CHEAT, You're OUT! All final decisions regarding this will be at the Weigh Master and Tournament Director's discretion.
Single person events unless otherwise noted. NO PARTNERS (unless otherwise noted), NO POOLING OF FISH... you can fish with your buddy…POOLING of fish will only be allowed during Team events.
Teammates must launch together and stay within 100 yards of each other at all times during tournament hours unless given prior authorization from Tournament Director.
All fish must be caught during the day of the event during allotted times (TBD)
All fish must be caught by rod and reel with artificial baits only…no chumming, no live or dead bait. Only ONE rod per person may be used at any given time. Trolling as a method of fishing WILL BE allowed.
Kayak, canoe, hybrid kayak, etc. paddle or peddle craft only... no motors ... KAYAK MUST BE LAUNCHED... you can wade once the kayak is launched, but must stay tethered to vessel.
Kayak must be launched at a public accessible launch area that is made available to the general public. No launching from private property or any place that requires "special permission".
Participants are not allowed to fish within 100 yards of another tourney entrant unless that participant is waived in or invited. Once your kayak is launched, you may wade fish, but must stay tethered to your vessel.
A ½ pound bonus will be awarded for bringing in any live fish. This will be added to the tournament’s total stringer weight. Maximum bonus weight allowed will be ½ pound only. There will be no deduct for bringing in any dead fish.
All entrants into any UCKA event agree to follow the above rules and subject themselves to a polygraph test, if deemed necessary.
Anglers may not receive any aid from a motorized vessel or boat. This will only be allowed in an emergency situation and your fish will be disqualified for that day.
No Mothershipping or ferrying a kayak with a boat or any vessel. This will result in disqualification from ALL U.C.K.A. events permanently!
You MUST follow ALL Texas Parks & Wildlife Regulations.
